The new Platinum Duo from Acumen solves the problem of battery maintenance for anyone lucky enough to have two bikes in their garage, because it is capable of monitoring and charging two batteries simultaneously.
Like the original Platinum, this microprocessor-based unit tests, charges, maintains and recovers batteries automatically and is housed in a splash proof, attractive and robust extruded aluminium casing. However inside are dual independent charging circuits that enable the Platinum Duo to charge and maintain two batteries of different capacities, in separate machines or vehicles, at the same time. Better still, it only requires a single power socket for operation.
A dual-battery Microprocessor based Intelligent Charger, battery-maintainer and de-sulphate battery maintenance all in one. Supplied in a stylish Steel Presentation case, this is not only the perfect battery maintainer, but a nice gift too!
The Electronics for the Platinum Charger are contained within a Stylish Splash-proof Aluminium extrusion of an extremely robust design.
The unit comes supplied with:
- 2 separate charging circuits for 2 batteries
- Wall Bracket with fixings
- 2 x waterproof eyelet lead for permanent connection to the motorcycle battery - and even the Fuse holders are waterproof!
- 2 x Crocodile lead for temporary connection to a battery
- 2 x 3 metre extension lead
- UK and European mains leads
- Reverse Polarity protection
- Over voltage protection
- Over temperature protection
Also, the unit has 6 warning coloured LED's for each charging circuit. indicating:
- Power on/off
- Incorrect Polarity (as well as audible warning)
- "Good" battery
- "Weak" battery
- Battery being charged
- Recovery mode - or Irrecoverable Battery (as well as audible warning)
The DUO Platinum will Charge, Test , Maintain and if required, attempt recovery of a badly discharged/sulphated battery.
